Abstract
The present disclosure relates to a tissue repair device. The device includes a handle, a knob coupled to the handle, and a needle coupled to the handle. The needle includes a proximal end and a distal end, the distal end including a slot, wherein a first anchor is housed within the distal end and a second anchor is housed within the slot and located proximal to the first anchor. An actuator disposed within the needle and operatively coupled to the knob, wherein advancement of the knob allows for engagement of the actuator with the first anchor and subsequent advancement of the first anchor via the actuator. A method of tissue repair is also disclosed.
Claims9
A suture anchor comprising:
- an elongated body having at least a first hole and a second hole defined through the elongated body, each of the first and second holes located at a spaced interval along the elongated body, the first and second holes adapted to receive a suture therethrough, the elongated body having an angled distal end surface defining the distal end of the elongated body, the angled distal surface configured such that a first surface of the elongated body has a greater length than a second surface opposite the first surface;
- a pair of protrusions extending from a proximal portion of the elongated body, at least one of the pair of protrusions extending in both a lateral and proximal direction, the at least one of the pair of protrusions extending laterally outside a circle defined by a maximum cross-sectional dimension of the elongated body;
- and
- a slot formed in a proximal end surface of the elongated body between the pair of protrusions, the slot configured for receiving a push member;
- wherein the first and second holes are distal to the slot.
A suture anchor construct comprising:
- a suture anchor comprising:
- an elongated body having at least a first hole and a second hole defined through the elongated body, each of the first and second holes located at a spaced interval along the elongated body, the elongated body having an angled distal end surface defining the distal end of the elongated body, the angled distal surface configured such that a first surface of the elongated body has a greater length than a second surface opposite the first surface;
- and
- a pair of protrusions extending from a proximal portion of the elongated body, at least one of the pair of protrusions extending in both a lateral and proximal direction, the at least one of the pair of protrusions extending laterally outside a circle defined by a maximum cross-sectional dimension of the elongated body;
- and
- a slot formed in a proximal end surface of the elongated body between the pair of protrusions, the slot configured for receiving a push member;
- wherein the first and second holes are distal to the slot;
- and
- a suture extending through the first and second holes such that a first limb of the suture extends through the first hole and a second limb of the suture extends through the second hole.
