Abstract
An external pack member for a dishwasher appliance, the external pack member includes a base panel extending along the lateral direction and the transverse direction; a first channel formed downward into a top surface of the base panel along the vertical direction and extending along the lateral direction; and a second channel formed upward along the vertical direction into a bottom surface of the base panel and extending along the lateral direction, wherein the external pack member is formed from a recyclable molded pulp material.
Claims18
A dishwasher appliance defining a vertical direction, a lateral direction, and a transverse direction, the dishwasher appliance comprising:
- a tub defining a receiving chamber;
- a door attached to the tub and movable between an open position and a closed position to provide selective access to the receiving chamber;
- and
- an external pack member removably coupled to a top of the tub adjacent to the door, the external pack member comprising:
- a base panel extending along the lateral direction and the transverse direction;
- a first channel recessed downward into a top surface of the base panel along the vertical direction and extending along the lateral direction;
- and
- a second channel recessed upward along the vertical direction into a bottom surface of the base panel and extending along the lateral direction, wherein the external pack member is formed from a recyclable molded pulp material.
An external pack member for packaging a dishwasher appliance, the dishwasher appliance defining a vertical direction, a lateral direction, and a transverse direction and comprising a tub, the external pack member comprising:
- a base panel extending along the lateral direction and the transverse direction;
- a first channel recessed downward into a top surface of the base panel along the vertical direction and extending along the lateral direction;
- and
- a second channel recessed upward along the vertical direction into a bottom surface of the base panel and extending along the lateral direction, wherein the external pack member is formed from a recyclable molded pulp material.
