Abstract
An induction heating type cooktop include a case, a cover plate connected to an upper end of the case, the cover plate having an upper surface configured to support thereon an object to be heated, a thin layer disposed at the cover plate, a heat insulator disposed vertically below the thin layer, a working coil disposed inside the case, a cooling fan configured to blow air toward the working coil, and a bracket that defines a cooling passage. The cooling passage is configured to guide the air to pass through the working coil and to discharge the air to an outside of the bracket.
Claims21
An induction heating cooktop comprising:
- a case;
- a cover plate connected to an upper end of the case, the cover plate having an upper surface configured to support thereon an object to be heated;
- a working coil disposed inside the case, the working coil comprising annular portions that are wound annularly;
- a bracket disposed above the working coil;
- a thin layer disposed at the cover plate;
- a cooling fan configured to blow air toward the working coil;
- a working coil supporter configured to support the working coil;
- and
- a ferrite disposed below the working coil,
- wherein the working coil supporter defines an air space under the working coil to allow an air blown by the cooling fan to pass through the working coil and to flow along an outer surface of the working coil,
- wherein the working coil supporter includes a plurality of protrusions that protrude upward toward the bracket to thereby define a plurality of recesses configured to accommodate the annular portions of the working coil, respectively, each of the annular portions of the working coil being accommodated in one of the plurality of recesses between two of the plurality of protrusions,
- wherein a cooling passage is defined at the bracket, the cooling passage including a gap that is defined between the bracket and upper ends of the plurality of protrusions such that air under the bracket alternately passes over (i) each of the annular portions of the working coil accommodated in the plurality of recesses and (ii) each of the plurality of protrusions, the gap overlapping with the thin layer in a vertical direction, and
- wherein the thin layer is configured to be heated by the working coil via induction and to allow a magnetic field generated by the working coil to pass through the thin layer.
An induction heating cooktop comprising:
- a case;
- a cover plate connected to an upper end of the case, the cover plate having an upper surface configured to support thereon an object to be heated;
- a working coil disposed inside the case and wound annularly;
- a working coil supporter configured to support the working coil, the working coil comprising annular portions that are wound annularly;
- a ferrite disposed below the working coil;
- a thin layer disposed at the cover plate;
- a cooling fan configured to blow air toward the working coil;
- and
- a bracket that is disposed to surround at least of a portion of the working coil and defines a cooling passage, the cooling passage being configured to guide the air to pass through a space between the annular portions of the working coil and to discharge the air to an outside of the bracket,
- wherein the working coil supporter includes a plurality of protrusions that protrude upward toward the bracket to thereby define a plurality of recesses configured to accommodate the annular portions of the working coil, respectively, each of the annular portions of the working coil being accommodated in one of the plurality of recesses between two of the plurality of protrusions,
- wherein the cooling passage is defined between the bracket and the working coil such that air under the bracket alternately passes over (i) each of the annular portions of the working coil accommodated in the plurality of recesses and (ii) each of the plurality of protrusions, the cooling passage being provided below the thin layer to overlap with the thin layer in a vertical direction, and
- wherein the thin layer is configured to be heated by the working coil via induction and to allow a magnetic field generated by the working coil to pass through the thin layer.
