Abstract
Provided are a method and apparatus for determining the number of coded modulation symbols for uplink control information (UCI) when transmitting, in a wireless communication system, the UCI via a transport block processing over multiple slots (TBoMS) PUSCH to which TBoMS has been applied. The number of coded modulation symbols for the UCI is determined on the basis of the total number of bits being transmitted via the TBoMS PUSCH, and a value obtained by multiplying the number (Z) of slots configured for the TBoMS PUSCH by the sum of the number of resource elements that can be used for the transmission of the UCI in OFDM symbols for the TBoMS PUSCH in one slot through which the UCI is transmitted, from among the multiple slots.
Claims11
A method, comprising:
- determining, by a user equipment (UE), the number of coded modulation symbols per layer for uplink control information (UCI) transmission;
- and
- performing, by the UE, a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) transmission based on transport block processing over multi-slot (TBoMS), wherein the PUSCH transmission includes the UCI transmission,
- wherein the number of coded modulation symbols per layer of the UCI transmission is determined based on i) a sum of the number of resource elements that can be used for transmission of UCI in orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) symbol 1, for 1=0, 1, 2, . . . , NPUSCHsymb,all-1, in a slot, and ii) a sum of r-th code block size for uplink shared channel (UL-SCH) of the PUSCH transmission, for r=0, 1, . . . , CUL-SCH−1, multiplied by 1/Z,
- wherein CUL-SCH is the number of code blocks for UL-SCH of the PUSCH transmission,
- wherein Z is related to the number of slots allocated for the PUSCH, and
- wherein NPUSCHsymb,all is the total number of OFDM symbols of the PUSCH in the slot including all OFDM symbols used for a demodulation reference signal (DMRS).
A user equipment (UE), comprising:
- at least one transceiver;
- at least one memory;
- and
- at least one processor operably connectable to the at least one transceiver and the at least one memory,
- wherein the at least one memory stores instructions that, based on being executed by the at least one processor, cause the at least one processor to perform operations comprising:
- determining the number of coded modulation symbols per layer for uplink control information (UCI) transmission;
- and
- performing a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) transmission based on transport block processing over multi-slot (TBoMS) wherein the PUSCH transmission includes the UCI transmission,
- wherein the number of coded modulation symbols per layer of the UCI transmission is determined based on i) a sum of the number of resource elements that can be used for transmission of UCI in orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) symbol 1, for 1=0, 1, 2, . . . , NPUSCHsymb,all−1, in a slot, and ii) a sum of r-th code block size for uplink shared channel (UL-SCH) of the PUSCH transmission, for r=0, 1, . . . , CUL-SCH-1, multiplied by 1/Z,
- wherein CUL-SCH is the number of code blocks for UL-SCH of the PUSCH transmission,
- wherein Z is related to the number of slots allocated for the PUSCH, and
- wherein NPUSHCsymb,all is the total number of OFDM symbols of the PUSCH in the slot including all OFDM symbols used for a demodulation reference signal (DMRS).
A base station comprising:
- at least one transceiver;
- at least one memory;
