Abstract
According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, a method of a first Integrated Access Backhauled (IAB) node in a wireless communication signal may include receiving, from a parent IAB node, Radio Link Failure (RLF) detection indication, and based on receiving of the RLF detection indication, performing handover to a target cell or routing to a different path other than a path via the parent IAB node or operation resumption with respect to the parent IAB node.
Claims9
A method of a first Integrated Access Backhauled (IAB) node in a wireless communication system, the method comprising:
- receiving, from a first parent IAB node, a Radio Link Failure (RLF) detection notification via a first backhaul adaptation protocol (BAP) control protocol data unit (PDU);
- in response to the reception of the RLF detection notification, performing rerouting via a second parent IAB node;
- receiving, from the first IAB node, either an RLF recovery success notification or an RLF recovery failure notification;
- based on receiving the RLF recovery success notification from the first parent IAB node, identifying that a link associated with the first parent IAB node is to be available;
- and
- based on receiving the RLF recovery failure notification from the first parent IAB node, performing a radio resource control (RRC) re-establishment procedure.
A method of a second Integrated Access Backhauled (IAB) node in a wireless communication system, the method comprising:
- detecting a Radio Link Failure (RLF);
- transmitting, to a child IAB node of the second IAB node, an RLF detection notification via a first backhaul adaptation protocol (BAP) control protocol data unit (PDU);
- attempting RLF recovery;
- transmitting, to the child IAB node, an RLF recovery success notification in case that the RLF recovery is successful;
- and
- transmitting, to the child IAB node, an RLF recovery failure notification in case that a radio resource control (RRC) re-establishment procedure fails.
A first Integrated Access Backhauled (IAB) node comprising:
- a communicator;
- and
- a controller configured to:
- receive, from a first parent IAB node, a Radio Link Failure (RLF) detection notification via a first backhaul adaptation protocol (BAP) control protocol data unit (PDU),
- in response to the reception of the RLF detection notification, perform rerouting via a second parent IAB node,
- receive, from the first IAB node, either an RLF recovery success notification or an RLF recovery failure notification,
- based on receiving the RLF recovery success notification from the first parent IAB node, identify that a link associated with the first parent IAB node is to be available, and
- based on receiving the RLF recovery failure notification from the first parent IAB node, perform a radio resource control (RRC) re-establishment procedure.
