A speaker control system, including a speaker matrix, including a de-multiplexer including one or more audio control relays, a control unit operatively arranged to set the state of the one or more audio control relays, and determine the state of the one or more audio control relays, and a communication module.

A speaker control system, comprising:
- a speaker matrix, including:
- a de-multiplexer comprising one or more audio control relays;
- a control unit operatively arranged to:
- set the state of the one or more audio control relays;
- and
- determine the state of the one or more audio control relays, wherein the control unit comprises an application programming interface (API) arranged to determine the state of the one or more audio control relays;
- and
- a communication module.
