Systems and methods for live content streaming and associated actions via internet appliances

A system comprising:

• one or more processors configured to:
• display, in a first state of a device, at least one live content stream received from at least one appliance;
• receive, via a user input interface of the device, a user input corresponding to an action associated with the at least one appliance, the action comprising displaying the at least one live content stream and at least one selectable option for user interaction;
• and
• based at least in part on receiving the user input corresponding to the action:
• switch the device from the first state to a second state of the device;
• and
• cause to perform the action associated with the at least one appliance, including causing to display, in the second state of the device, the at least one live content stream, an activity timeline comprising an indicator of at least one event, and at least one selectable option to display one of a plurality of stored content streams,
• wherein:
• each of the plurality of stored content streams comprises a stream of the at least one event received from the at least one appliance;
• each of the plurality of stored content streams is displayed with a respective image captured by the at least one appliance;
• and
• the plurality of stored content streams is ordered by respective times which each respective image was captured by the at least one appliance.
