Abstract
In one aspect, an example methodology implementing the disclosed techniques can include, by a first computing device, determining a reference image showing (e.g., encoding) an orientation of a user participating in an online meeting and receiving a video stream captured by a camera, the video stream associated with the online meeting. The method can also include, by the computing device, responsive to a determination of a change in the orientation of the user appearing within the video stream, providing modified video stream in which the orientation of the user is adjusted based on the reference image.
Claims20
A method comprising:
- determining, by a computing device, a reference image showing a first orientation of a user participating in an online meeting, wherein the reference image is generated in response to the user joining the online meeting and being positioned within a field of view of a camera;
- receiving, by the computing device, a video stream captured by the camera, the video stream associated with the online meeting, the video stream showing the user in a second orientation different from the first orientation;
- and
- responsive to a determination of a change in the second orientation of the user appearing in the video stream relative to the first orientation and positioned within the field of view of the camera:
- generating, by the computing device, a modified video stream from the video stream captured by the camera, the modified video stream generated to change the second orientation of the user to substantially match the first orientation from the reference image;
- and
- providing, by the computing device, the modified video stream in which the second orientation of the user is adjusted to substantially match the first orientation based on the reference image.
A system comprising:
- a processor;
- and
- a non-volatile memory storing computer program code that when executed on the processor causes the processor to execute a process operable to:
- determine a reference image showing a first orientation of a user participating in an online meeting, wherein the reference image is generated in response to the user joining the online meeting and being positioned within a field of view of a camera;
- receive a video stream captured by the camera, the video stream associated with the online meeting, the video stream showing the user in a second orientation different from the first orientation;
- and
- responsive to a determination of a change in the second orientation of the user appearing within in the video stream relative to the first orientation and positioned within the field of view of the camera:
- generate a modified video stream from the video stream captured by the camera, the modified video stream generated to change the second orientation of the user to substantially match the first orientation from the reference image;
- and
- provide the modified video stream in which the second orientation of the user is adjusted to substantially match the first orientation based on the reference image.
A non-transitory machine-readable medium encoding instructions that when executed by one or more processors cause a process to be carried out, the process comprising:
- determining a reference image showing a first orientation of a user participating in an online meeting, wherein the reference image is generated in response to the user joining the online meeting and being positioned within a field of view of a camera;
- receiving a video stream captured by the camera, the video stream associated with the online meeting, the video stream showing the user in a second orientation different from the first orientation;
- and
- responsive to a determination of a change in the second orientation of the user appearing in the video stream relative to the first orientation and positioned within the field of view of the camera video stream:
- generating a modified video stream from the video stream captured by the camera, the modified video stream generated to change the second orientation of the user to substantially match the first orientation from the reference image;
- and
- providing a modified video stream in which the second orientation of the user is adjusted to substantially match the first orientation based on the reference image.
