Abstract
A radio terminal (12) transmits, to a radio access network (RAN) node (11) in a radio access network (RAN), an indication indicating whether a measurement gap for inter-bandwidth part (BWP) measurement among BWPs included in a plurality of downlink BWPs is required. The downlink BWPs are included within one system bandwidth. Further, the radio terminal (12) receives, from the RAN node (11), a measurement configuration including a measurement gap configuration for one or more BWPs included in the downlink BWPs. It is thus, for example, possible to allow a radio terminal to be configured with a proper measurement gap for inter-BWP measurement within one carrier bandwidth.
Claims11
A method for a User Equipment (UE), the method comprising:
- receiving a Radio Resource Control (RRC) Reconfiguration message from a communication apparatus,
- wherein the RRC Reconfiguration message includes first information indicating a first measurement gap for a first bandwidth part and second information indicating a second measurement gap for a second bandwidth part, and
- wherein the first bandwidth part and the second bandwidth part included in configured bandwidth parts for the UE are related to a Cell Defining Synchronization Signal/Physical Broadcast Channel block (SSB);
- using the first measurement gap based on the first bandwidth part being an active bandwidth part;
- receiving control information to switch the active bandwidth part from the first bandwidth part to the second bandwidth part;
- switching the active bandwidth part from the first bandwidth part to the second bandwidth part and using the second measurement gap based on the control information;
- and
- transmitting an RRC Reconfiguration Complete message to the communication apparatus,
- wherein the RRC Reconfiguration Complete message includes information indicating whether a third measurement gap for the configured bandwidth part is required.
A method for a communication apparatus, the method comprising:
- sending a Radio Resource Control (RRC) Reconfiguration message to a User Equipment (UE),
- wherein the RRC Reconfiguration message includes first information indicating a first measurement gap for a first bandwidth part and second information indicating a second measurement gap for a second bandwidth part,
- wherein the first bandwidth part and the second bandwidth part included in configured bandwidth parts for the UE are related to a Cell Defining Synchronization Signal/Physical Broadcast Channel block (SSB), and
- wherein the first measurement gap is used based on the first bandwidth part being an active bandwidth part;
- sending control information for switching the active bandwidth part from the first bandwidth part to the second bandwidth part and for switching a measurement gap from the first measurement gap to the second measurement gap;
- and
- receiving an RRC Reconfiguration Complete message from the UE,
- wherein the RRC Reconfiguration Complete message includes information indicating whether a third measurement gap for the configured bandwidth part is required.
A User Equipment (UE) comprising:
- at least one memory;
- and
- at least one hardware processor coupled to the at least one memory and configured to:
- receive a Radio Resource Control (RRC) Reconfiguration message from a communication apparatus,
- wherein the RRC Reconfiguration message includes first information indicating a first measurement gap for a first bandwidth part and second information indicating a second measurement gap for a second bandwidth part, and
- wherein the first bandwidth part and the second bandwidth part included in configured bandwidth parts for the UE are related to a Cell Defining Synchronization Signal/Physical Broadcast Channel block (SSB);
- use the first measurement gap based on the first bandwidth part being an active bandwidth part;
- receive control information to switch the active bandwidth part from the first bandwidth part to the second bandwidth part;
- switch the active bandwidth part from the first bandwidth part to the second bandwidth part and use the second measurement gap based on the control information;
- and
- transmit an RRC Reconfiguration Complete message to the communication apparatus,
- wherein the RRC Reconfiguration Complete message includes information indicating whether a third measurement gap for the configured bandwidth part is required.
A communication apparatus comprising:
- at least one memory;
- and
- at least one hardware processor coupled to the at least one memory and configured to:
- send a Radio Resource Control (RRC) Reconfiguration message to a User Equipment (UE),
- wherein the RRC Reconfiguration message includes first information indicating a first measurement gap for a first bandwidth part and second information indicating a second measurement gap for a second bandwidth part,
- wherein the first bandwidth part and the second bandwidth part included in configured bandwidth parts for the UE are related to a Cell Defining Synchronization Signal/Physical Broadcast Channel block (SSB), and
- wherein the first measurement gap is used based on the first bandwidth part being an active bandwidth part;
- send control information for switching the active bandwidth part from the first bandwidth part to the second bandwidth part and for switching a measurement gap from the first measurement gap to the second measurement gap;
- and
- receive an RRC Reconfiguration Complete message from the UE,
- wherein the RRC Reconfiguration Complete message includes information indicating whether a third measurement gap for the configured bandwidth part is required.
