Method and system for driving polarization shifting to mitigate interference

A linear drive assembly, comprising:

• a carrier coupled to a motor;
• and
• an axle configured to couple to a polarization shifter for an orthogonally-polarized element pair, wherein the motor provides forces, via the carrier and the axle, to the polarization shifter to effect polarization shifting for the orthogonally-polarized element pair, and wherein the polarization shifting facilitates avoidance of interference.

A system, comprising:

• a polarization shifter comprising an element substrate, a radiating element residing on the element substrate, and an antenna support structure fixedly coupled to the element substrate;
• and
• an axle secured, at a first end of the axle, to the antenna support structure, wherein the axle is configured to couple, via a rod, to a motor that is controllable by a controller configured to detect an interference signal having a polarization orientation, and wherein the axle is controllable by the motor through the rod to effect polarization shifting for the radiating element, thereby mitigating the interference signal according to the polarization orientation of the interference signal.
