Abstract
The disclosed systems and methods provide systems and methods for rhythm recognition and the analysis of ECG signals.
Claims18
A computing system comprising:
- a processor;
- and
- a non-transitory computer-readable storage device storing computer-executable instructions, the instructions operable to causing the processor to perform operations comprising:
- receiving an electrocardiogram (ECG) signal from an automated external defibrillator (AED) unit;
- filtering the ECG signal to generate an output signal;
- identifying a plurality of peaks in the output signal;
- calculating a cross-correlation energy for at least two of the plurality of peaks;
- calculating a self-correlation energy for the at least two of the plurality of peaks;
- generating a correlation value for the ECG signal based on the cross-correlation energy and the self-correlation energy for the at least two of the plurality of peaks;
- and
- administering a shock to a subject based on the generated correlation value.

A computer-implemented method performed by at least one processor comprising:
- receiving an electrocardiogram (ECG) signal from an automated external defibrillator (AED) unit;
- filtering the ECG signal to generate an output signal;
- identifying a plurality of peaks in the output signal;
- calculating a cross-correlation energy for at least two of the plurality of peaks;
- calculating a self-correlation energy for the at least two of the plurality of peaks;
- generating a correlation value for the ECG signal based on the cross-correlation energy and the self-correlation energy for the at least two of the plurality of peaks;
- and
- administering a shock to a subject based on the generated correlation value.
