Abstract
A refuse vehicle can include a camera and one or more processing circuits. The one or more processing circuits can detect a movement of the refuse vehicle, receive image data that includes a waste receptacle, determine a position of the waste receptacle relative to the refuse vehicle based on the image data, and generate a user interface that includes a visual indication of the position of the waste receptacle relative to the refuse vehicle.
Claims17
A refuse vehicle, comprising:
- a lift apparatus configured to engage with a waste receptacle;
- a camera disposed proximate to the lift apparatus;
- and
- one or more processing circuits in communication with the lift apparatus and the camera, the one or more processing circuits configured to:
- detect, based on information that corresponds to the lift apparatus, a movement of the lift apparatus;
- receive, responsive to detection of the movement of the lift apparatus, from the camera, image data that includes at least a portion of the lift apparatus and the waste receptacle;
- determine, responsive to receipt of the image data, a first position of the waste receptacle relative to the lift apparatus based on the image data;
- generate a user interface that includes:
- a graphic element to represent the waste receptacle within the user interface;
- a visual indication disposed on the graphic element and within the user interface, the visual indication having a first color to indicate the first position of the waste receptacle relative to the lift apparatus;
- and
- a visual representation of the lift apparatus;
- cause a display device to display the user interface;
- and
- adjust, responsive to determination of a second position of the waste receptacle relative to the lift apparatus, the visual indication from the first color to a second color to reflect, within the user interface, the second position of the waste receptacle relative to the lift apparatus.

A refuse vehicle, comprising:
- a camera disposed proximate to an element of the refuse vehicle;
- and
- one or more processing circuits in communication with the element and the camera, the one or more processing circuits configured to:
- detect, based on information that corresponds to the element, a movement of the element;
- receive, responsive to detection of the movement of the element, from the camera, image data that includes at least a portion of the element and a waste receptacle;
- determine, responsive to receipt of the image data, a position of the waste receptacle relative to the element based on the image data;
- generate a user interface that includes:
- a graphic element to represent the waste receptacle within the user interface;
- and
- a visual indication disposed on the graphic element and within the user interface, the visual indication having a first color to indicate the position of the waste receptacle relative to the element;
- and
- adjust, responsive to determination of a second position of the waste receptacle, the visual indication from the first color to a second color to reflect, within the user interface, the second position of the waste receptacle.

- wherein the visual indication is updateable to a second color responsive to determination of a second position of the waste receptacle relative to the refuse vehicle.
