Kiosk gift card system and method

A kiosk system, the system comprising one or more computing devices, comprising:

• a kiosk processor interface, comprising at least one of the one or more computing devices;
• a payment processor;
• a printing unit;
• and
• a structural housing configured to house the kiosk processor interface, payment processor and printing unit;
• wherein:
• the kiosk processor interface is configured to enable users to purchase user-selected greeting cards through user inputs provided to the kiosk processor interface;
• the kiosk processor interface is configured to electronically communicate with a gift card management server through a computer network;
• the kiosk processor interface is configured to receive, from the gift card management server, options to purchase user-selected gift cards via the kiosk processor interface;
• the kiosk processor interface is configured to permit users to select via user input a specific retailer or subject matter for the purchased user-selected gift cards;
• the kiosk processor interface is configured to permit users to assign via user input a value to the purchased user-selected gift cards;
• the kiosk processor interface is configured to, in response user purchases of the user-selected gift cards via the kiosk processor interface, receive in an encrypted format from a gift card platform via the computer network, a gift card number and a PIN associated with a purchased gift card;
• the kiosk processor interface is configured to cause the creation of the purchased user-selected greeting cards in response to user purchases of the user-selected greeting cards;
• and
• the kiosk processor interface is configured to, in response to user purchases of the user-selected gift cards, cause the creation of a purchased user-selected gift card associated with the created purchased user-selected greeting card using the printing unit to manufacture physical gift cards on demand from blank card stock housed within the structural housing by printing the purchased user-selected gift cards on the blank card stock, and by printing decrypted gift card numbers and PINs on the blank card stock such that the decrypted gift card number and PIN are not provided on the physical gift card until after a purchase transaction for the physical gift card is completed.
