Abstract
A printing apparatus communicates with a server managing contractual information of a service of the printing apparatus and acquires the contractual information from the server and reacquires the contractual information in response to an operation by a user selecting a predetermined button configured to display content related to the contractual information on a display device, in a case where the contractual information had not been acquired. A function that displays the content related to the contractual information on the display device is restricted to be used because of failure in acquiring the contractual information.
Claims9
A printing apparatus configured to be able to communicate with a server managing contractual information of a service of the printing apparatus, the printing apparatus comprising:
- at least one processor or circuit configured to function as
- an acquisition unit configured to acquire the contractual information from the server, and
- a control unit configured to cause the acquisition unit to reacquire the contractual information in response to an operation by a user selecting a predetermined button configured to display content related to the contractual information on a display device, in a case where the acquisition unit has failed to acquire the contractual information, wherein
- a function that displays the content related to the contractual information on the display device is restricted to be used because of failure in acquiring the contractual information.
A method for controlling a printing apparatus configured to be able to communicate with a server managing contractual information of a service of the printing apparatus, the method comprising:
- acquiring the contractual information from the server;
- and
- causing the acquiring to reacquire the contractual information in response to an operation by a user selecting a predetermined button configured to display content related to the contractual information on a display device, in a case where the acquiring has failed to acquire the contractual information, wherein
- a function that displays the content related to the contractual information on the display device is restricted to be used because of failure in acquiring the contractual information.
A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing a program for causing a computer to execute each step of a controlling method of a printing apparatus configured to be able to communicate with a server managing contractual information of a service of the printing apparatus, the method comprising:
- acquiring the contractual information from the server;
- and
- causing the acquiring to reacquire the contractual information in response to an operation by a user selecting a predetermined button configured to display content related to the contractual information on a display device, in a case where the acquiring has failed to acquire the contractual information, wherein
- a function that displays the content related to the contractual information on the display device is restricted to be used because of failure in acquiring the contractual information.
