A method of controlling an image forming apparatus, the method comprising:

• performing print processing by using a color profile;
• receiving a message including a predetermined operation command related to a color profile, the message being sent from a management server system which executes color management between or among a plurality of image forming apparatuses, and being constructed in a common message format in the plurality of image forming apparatuses, the common message format conforming to a Job Messaging Format (JMF) that is usable across the plurality of image forming apparatuses;
• and
• executing predetermined processing related to the color profile according to the predetermined operation command included in the received message,
• wherein the predetermined operation command comprises at least one of a query command for obtaining registered color profile information, a registration command for registering a new color profile or updating an availability status of the color profile, or a deletion command for deleting the color profile.

A non-transitory computer readable storage medium storing a program which causes a computer to perform a method of controlling an image forming apparatus, the method comprising:

• performing print processing by using a color profile;
• receiving a message including a predetermined operation command related to a color profile, the message being sent from a management server system which executes color management between or among a plurality of image forming apparatuses, and being constructed in a common message format in the plurality of image forming apparatuses, the common message format conforming to a Job Messaging Format (JMF) that is usable across the plurality of image forming apparatuses;
• and
• executing predetermined processing related to the color profile according to the predetermined operation command included in the received message,
• wherein the predetermined operation command comprises at least one of a query command for obtaining registered color profile information, a registration command for registering a new color profile or updating an availability status of the color profile, or a deletion command for deleting the color profile.
