Abstract
An image projection system in which a projection image is easier to see. An image projection system includes an image projection device which emits projection light that is linearly polarized light; a screen which is irradiated with the projection light emitted from the image projection device; and a light absorption anisotropic layer which is disposed between the image projection device and the screen and through which the projection light passes, the light absorption anisotropic layer contains a dichroic substance, and a transmittance central axis of the light absorption anisotropic layer is in a direction toward the screen.

An image projection system comprising:
- an image projection device which emits projection light that is linearly polarized light;
- a screen which is irradiated with the projection light emitted from the image projection device;
- and
- a light absorption anisotropic layer which is disposed between the image projection device and the screen and through which the projection light passes,
- wherein the light absorption anisotropic layer contains a dichroic substance, and
- a transmittance central axis of the light absorption anisotropic layer is in a direction toward the screen.
