Abstract
A method of characterizing a liquid exposed to ionizing radiation is provided. The method includes including an oxidizing agent and/or a reducing agent of a redox pair in the liquid, thereby providing a corresponding redox couple; and determining a first redox potential due, at least in part, to the redox couple while exposing the liquid to the ionizing radiation.
Claims15
A method of characterizing a liquid exposed to ionizing radiation, the method comprising:
- (a) including an oxidizing agent and/or a reducing agent of a redox pair in the liquid, thereby providing a corresponding redox couple;
- and
- (b) determining a first redox potential due, at least in part, to the redox couple while exposing the liquid to the ionizing radiation, wherein determination of the first redox potential and exposure to the ionizing radiation are simultaneous.
An electrochemical liquid-phase transmission electron microscopy (TEM) cell comprising an oxidizing agent and/or a reducing agent of a redox pair for contacting with a liquid receivable therein.
