Assembly system for a portable fan

A portable fan comprising:

• an air generation assembly comprising:
• a motor assembly,
• a grill assembly defining an internal space, and
• an impeller located substantially within said internal space;
• a base for supporting said air generation assembly above a surface at a pre-determined elevation said base comprising:
• a center socket, and
• an outer extent defined by a maximum distance of said base as measured relative to said center socket;
• an extension located between said base and said air generation assembly and connected to said base and said air generation assembly comprising:
• a first portion comprising:
• a first end including an adaptor capable of connecting to said air generation assembly;
• and
• a second end, and
• a second portion comprising:
• a first end including an adaptor capable of connecting to said second end of said first portion and/or said air generation assembly, and
• a second end;
• wherein said second end of said first portion and/or said second end of said second portion can both interface and connect to said center socket of said base.
