Adjustable ladders, ladder components, and related methods

A ladder comprising:

• a rail assembly comprising:
• a pair of inner rails and a pair of outer rails, the pair of inner rails being slidably disposed within the pair of outer rails;
• a first plurality of rungs coupled between the pair of inner rails;
• and
• a second plurality of rungs coupled between the pair of outer rails;
• a pair of leveler mechanisms associated with the pair of outer rails, each leveler mechanism of the pair of leveler mechanisms comprising:
• a leg member slidably disposed within a respective outer rail of the pair of outer rails, wherein a plurality of openings is defined in the leg member, the plurality of openings having upper surfaces and lower surfaces, wherein the upper surfaces and the lower surfaces are flat and parallel;
• an actuating mechanism configured to permit longitudinal movement of the leg member relative to the respective outer rail in a first direction and, when actuated, in a second, opposite direction;
• wherein the actuating mechanism is configured to allow movement of the leg member in only the first direction when not actuated;
• wherein, in response to displacement of the leg member in the first direction:
• multiple engagement protrusions of the actuating mechanism transition in and out of openings of the plurality of openings of the leg member without affirmative application of force to the actuating mechanism, and
• at least two engagement protrusions of the multiple engagement protrusions maintain constant contact with the leg member, including when the at least two engagement protrusions are positioned outside the openings, when the at least two engagement protrusions are positioned inside the openings, and when the at least two engagement protrusions are transitioning therebetween;
• and
• a spring to maintain a biasing force on the leg member in the second direction.
