Abstract
A self-erecting emergency shelter including a base assembly, a wall assembly, a roof assembly and a self-erecting assembly. The base assembly includes a base and height-adjustable legs. The base supports the wall assembly. The wall assembly includes walls pivotally attached to the base. The roof assembly includes a roof pivotally attached to the walls. The self-erecting assembly includes a plurality of gas springs. The gas springs are consecutively actuated to take the wall assembly and the roof assembly from an retracted configuration to an expanded configuration. In the expanded configuration the wall assembly and the roof assembly form an emergency shelter. In the retracted configuration the walls and the roof are perpendicularly placed over the base.
