Lactone and lactam containing compounds useful as immunomodulators

A compound of Formula (I):

• or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, wherein:
• R1 is independently —(O)m—(CH2)n—R1a or —(CH2)n—(O)m—R1b,
• R1a is independently a 5- to 6-membered heterocycle with one to two heteroatoms selected from O, N, S, and NRa;
• wherein said heterocycle is substituted with 0 to 3 Rb;
• R1b is phenyl or a 5- to 6-membered heteroaryl with one to four heteroatoms selected from O, N, S, and NRa;
• wherein said phenyl and heteroaryl are substituted with 0 to 3 R1c;
• R1c is independently halogen, CN, OH, SH, NH2, C1-C4 haloalkyl, C1-C4 alkoxy, C1-C4 haloalkoxy, C1-C4 alkyl substituted with 0 to 1 OH, or C3-C6 cycloalkyl, —(O)m—(CH2)n—R1d, or —(CH2)n—NR7—R2a;
• R1d is phenyl or a 5- to 6-membered heteroaryl with one to four heteroatoms selected from O, N, S, and NRa, wherein said phenyl and heteroaryl are substituted with 0 to 3 Rd;
• Z is a bond or a C1-C2 alkylene;
• R2 is independently a 4- to 8-membered lactone or lactam substituted with 0 to 4 Rc;
• R3, R4 and R5 are, at each occurrence, independently halogen, CN, OH, SH, NH2, C1-C4 alkyl, C1-C4 haloalkyl, C1-C4 alkoxy, C1-C4 haloalkoxy, or C3-C6 cycloalkyl;
• R6 is independently hydrogen, C1-C4 alkyl, or —(CH2)n—R6a;
• R6a is independently phenyl or a 5- to 6-membered heteroaryl with one to four heteroatoms selected from O, N, S, and NRa;
• wherein said phenyl and heteroaryl are substituted with 0 to 3 R6b;
• R6b is independently halogen, CN, OH, C1-C4 alkyl, C1-C4 haloalkyl, C1-C4 alkoxy, or C1-C4 haloalkoxy;
• R7 is independently hydrogen, C1-C4 alkyl, —C(O)C1-C4 alkyl, —(CH2)n—C3-C6 cycloalkyl, or —(CH2)n-phenyl;
• alternatively, R6 and R7 can be joined to form W;
• and
• W is a 1 to 4 membered linker with elements independently selected from carbon, oxygen, and nitrogen;
• wherein said linker is substituted with 0 to 2 Re;
• Ra is independently halogen, C1-C4 alkyl, —(CH2)n—C3-C6 cycloalkyl, or —(CH2)n-phenyl;
• Rb and Rc are, at each occurrence, independently oxo, halogen, CN, OH, C1-C4 alkyl, or C1-C4 alkoxy;
• Rd is, at each occurrence, independently halogen, CN, OH, C1-C4 alkyl, or C1-C4 alkoxy;
• Re is independently oxo, —CH2, halogen, CN, OH, C1-C4 alkyl, or C1-C4 alkoxy;
• m is, at each occurrence, independently 0 or 1;
• n is, at each occurrence, independently 0, 1, or 2;
• r, s, and t are each independently 0, 1, or 2.
