Aircraft boarding vehicle and methods of use

An aircraft boarding vehicle to transport passengers between an airport gate area and to a front door or a rear door of an aircraft positioned on a tarmac of an airport without impeding a ground transportation vehicle and airplane traffic, said vehicle comprising:

• a passenger platform having a frame to support said passenger platform;
• a pair of lift mast assemblies configured without a lower horizontal support therebetween, further configured to raise and lower said passenger platform to match a height of the airport gate area and the door of the aircraft and further configured to raise said passenger platform to a height sufficient to traverse over the wing tips of the aircraft to enable the vehicle to reach and dock with the rear door of the aircraft, each said lift mast assembly slidably affixed to said frame on one end;
• a pair of independent turning drive hubs affixed to each of said pair of lift mast assemblies on another end, said turning drive hubs configured to drive in any direction and turn 360 degrees to enable navigation without impeding airplane traffic on the tarmac;
• and
• a power supply to power said pair of drive hubs and said pair of lift mast assemblies.
