- applying the ink to a first surface of the print medium with a liquid application unit;
- cooling the print medium to which the ink is applied in the applying, to a temperature equal to or below a temperature of liquid applied in the applying, by blowing air to the print medium;
- and
- heating the print medium cooled in the cooling while maintaining the print medium in a flat and smooth state,
- wherein the print medium is conveyed in a conveyance direction by a first conveyance unit in the applying,
- wherein the print medium is conveyed in the conveyance direction by a second conveyance unit in the cooling, the second conveyance unit arranged downstream of the first conveyance unit in the conveyance direction, and
- wherein the print medium is conveyed in the conveyance direction by a third conveyance unit in the heating, the third conveyance unit arranged downstream of the second conveyance unit in the conveyance direction.
