Abstract
An object of the present invention is to provide a cover glass that can improve the visibility of a display unit in an automobile and a method for producing a glass sheet for the cover glass. The present invention provides a cover glass that is to be installed so as to cover a display unit in an automobile, and the cover glass includes a glass body that includes a first surface facing the display unit side and a second surface opposite to the first surface, projections and depressions having a depth of 20 to 500 nm being formed on at least one of the first surface and the second surface, and a transmittance gain of the cover glass is 1% or more.
Claims18
A cover glass that is to be installed so as to cover a display unit in an automobile, the cover glass comprising:
- a glass body that includes a first surface facing the display unit side and a second surface opposite to the first surface,
- wherein
- first projections and depressions having a depth of 20 to 500 nm are formed on at least one of the first surface and the second surface, and
- second projections and depressions having a pitch of about 5 to 20 μm are formed on at least one of the first surface and the second surface, wherein the second projections and depressions have a pitch that is larger than a pitch of the first projections and depressions,
- the glass body is curved, and
- a transmittance gain of the cover glass is 1% or more.
