A hand tool has end coupled handle segments. A fastener extends into a first coupler half that has an internal ramped cylindrical compression wedge. The fastener runs parallel to the handle segment and shortens the wedge in the direction of the fastener longitudinal axis, while driving the wedge radially outward therefrom to secure to the handle segment. A second coupler half engages to the first. The second coupler half includes: a coupling face that extends in a plane transverse to the handle longitudinal axis; and a threaded post protruding perpendicular to the plate. A tool implement head has a coupling face that is placed adjacent the second coupler half coupling face, with the threaded post passing through the tool implement head. A jam nut manually threads onto the threaded post, and applies force to secure the tool implement head between the jam nut and first coupler half coupling face.
