Abstract
A method of whitening skin or evening out skin tone is disclosed. The method can include topically applying to skin in need of treatment a composition comprising Cocos nucifera extract and an effective amount of an extract of azuki bean, wherein topical application of the composition whitens skin or evens out skin tone.

A method of whitening skin or evening out skin tone, the method comprising topically applying to skin in need of treatment a composition comprising a Cocos nucifera oil and an effective amount of an extract of azuki bean, the effective amount being an effective amount of an extract of azuki bean to reduce melanogenesis activity in the skin, wherein topical application of the composition to the skin whitens the skin or evens out the skin tone by reducing melanogenesis activity in the skin.
