Composition for caring for keratin materials and use thereof

A composition for caring for keratin materials, comprising:

• (A) a fatty acid-ester mixture comprising:
• (A-I) a fatty acid component comprising at least 3 medium chain fatty acids, comprising:
• caprylic acid in an amount of 5-20 wt %;
• capric acid in an amount of 1-10 wt %;
• and
• lauric acid in an amount of 20-70 wt %, and
• (A-II) the corresponding monoglycerides of each of the at least 3 medium chain fatty acids in component (A-I), comprising:
• monocaprylin in an amount of 0.5-15 wt %;
• monocaprin in an amount of 0.1-10 wt %;
• and
• monolaurin in an amount of 10-40 wt %,
• each relative to the total amount of the fatty acid component (A-I) and the corresponding monoglycerides (A-II);
• (B) a cosmetically or dermatologically acceptable auxiliary agent to assist the delivery of the fatty acid-ester mixture (A) to the keratin materials;
• (C) a combination of (1) an anionic surfactant selected from the group consisting of (C6-C24) acyl isethionates, (C6-C24) acyl sarcosinates and mixtures thereof with (2) a betaine surfactant,
• (D) a cationic polymer comprising a homopolymer or copolymer derived from acrylic or methacrylic esters or amides, and/or a cationic galactomannan gum, and
• (E) water,
• wherein
• the fatty acid-ester mixture (A) is present in the composition in an amount ranging from 0.3% to 1.5% by weight, relative to the total weight of the composition,
• a total amount of the fatty acids of component (A-I) and a total amount of the corresponding monoglycerides (A-II) are present in a ratio ranging from 2.5:1 to 1.5:1,
• the anionic surfactant is present in the composition in an amount from 8% to 15% by weight, relative to the total weight of the composition,
• the betaine surfactant is present in the composition in an amount from 1% to 10% by weight, relative to the total weight of the composition,
• the cationic polymer is present in the composition in an amount from 0.01% to 3% by weight, relative to the total weight of the composition, and
• the water is present in the composition in an amount of 15% by weight or more, relative to the total weight of the composition.
