Household appliance, in particular dishwasher

A household appliance, comprising:

• an appliance pedestal;
• an appliance container providing a treatment space, the appliance container having a loading opening providing access to the treatment space and closable by an appliance door that is pivotably mounted about a pivot axis;
• a door spring which is arranged, on one end, by arranging a cable pull therebetween, on the appliance door, and on an other end on the appliance pedestal, the door spring being configured to spring-load the appliance door when it is transferred from a closed position, which closes the loading opening, into an open position;
• and
• a clamping device configured to interact with the cable pull, the clamping device having a first clamping element and a second clamping element that is movable relative to the first clamping element, the cable pull being passed between the first clamping element and the second clamping element,
• wherein the second clamping element is spring-loaded in a direction of the cable pull.
