Abstract
A lid body of an electric kettle has a first inlet port, a second inlet port, and a discharge port, and a first channel and a second channel provided in the lid body for guiding the steam introduced through the first inlet port and the second inlet port to the discharge port, respectively. The first inlet port and the second inlet port are disposed on opposite, left and right, sides of a front-rear centerline of the lid body. The first channel extends from the first inlet port to the side of the second inlet port beyond the front-rear centerline and is folded back on the side of the second inlet port. The second channel extends from the second inlet port to the side of the first inlet port beyond the front-rear centerline and is folded back on the side of the first inlet port.
Claims6
An electric kettle, comprising:
- a container that contains water and is removably mounted on the power base;
- a heater provided in the container and configured to heat the water to generate steam in the container;
- a power base configured to supply electric power to the heater;
- a nozzle having a base end provided in a lower part of a front of the container and a tip end extending upward;
- and
- a lid body having a plate-like shape that covers an opening of a top part of the container,
- wherein the lid body has:
- a first inlet port and a second inlet port that are formed in a back side of the lid body and opening to the container, through which the steam generated in the container is introduced into the lid body;
- a discharge port formed in a front side of the lid body and opening to an exterior of the lid body, through which the steam introduced into the lid body is discharged to the exterior of the lid body;
- a first channel provided in the lid body and extending from the first inlet port to the discharge port, allowing the steam introduced through the first inlet port to flow through the first channel to the discharge port;
- and
- a second channel provided in the lid body and extending from the second inlet port to the discharge port, allowing the steam introduced through the second inlet port to flow through the second channel to the discharge port, and
- wherein:
- the first inlet port and the second inlet port are disposed on opposite, left and right, sides of a front-rear centerline of the lid body;
- the first channel extends from the first inlet port to the side of the second inlet port beyond the front-rear centerline and is folded back on the side of the second inlet port;
- the second channel extends from the second inlet port to the side of the first inlet port beyond the front-rear centerline and is folded back on the side of the first inlet port;
- the lid body is formed by a plurality of members including an upper layer-side member and a lower layer-side member that are stacked on one another in an up-down direction;
- the first channel and the second channel are formed in both the upper layer-side member and the lower layer-side member;
- a first passage port and a second passage port are provided at a center of the lid body;
- the first passage port connects the lower layer-side member to the upper layer-side member through the first channel, allowing the steam to flow from the lower layer-side member to the upper layer-side member;
- and
- a second passage port connects the lower layer-side member to the upper layer-side member through the second channel, allowing the steam to flow from the lower layer-side member to the upper layer-side member.
