Mattress cover

A mattress cover configured to cover a mattress, comprising:

• a fabric body;
• an elastic lining extending along an inner perimeter of the fabric body;
• and
• a cord housed within the elastic lining and running along a portion of the inner perimeter of the fabric body;
• wherein the inner perimeter comprises a first edge, a second edge substantially orthogonal to the first edge, and a corner between the first edge and the second edge;
• wherein the elastic lining comprises a first single-channel lining along a length of the first edge and terminating at a first opening positioned near the corner, and a second single-channel lining along a length of the second edge and terminating at a second opening positioned near the corner;
• wherein the cord is contained within an entirety of the first single-channel lining, exits the first single-channel lining via the first opening, enters the second single-channel lining via the second opening, and is contained with an entirety of the second single-channel lining such that a portion of the cord is exposed across the corner;
• and
• wherein, when the mattress cover is installed on the mattress, the exposed portion of the cord is located at an underside of the mattress, is configured to be in direct contact with the underside of the mattress, and is configured to extend diagonally across a corresponding corner of a bottom surface of the mattress.
