Method performed by a user equipment, method peformed by an access network node, a user equipment and an access network node for listen-before-talk procedure

A method performed by an access network node operating in a semi-static channel access mode, the method comprising:

• transmitting, to a user equipment (UE) operating in the semi-static channel access mode, configuration information for configuring a period of a channel occupancy that the UE initiates in a fixed frame period (FFP), for a listen-before-talk (LBT) procedure;
• wherein the period is used by the UE for performing a clear channel assessment (CCA));
• and
• transmitting, to the UE, first downlink control information (DCI) and initiating the period of the channel occupancy for the UE in a case where the CCA indicates that a communication channel is clear,
• wherein whether to cancel an uplink transmission scheduled by the access network node within a subsequent FFP of the channel occupancy initiated by the UE is determined based on the DCI.

A user equipment (UE) operating in a semi-static channel access mode, the UE comprising:

• a memory storing instructions;
• and
• at least one processor configured to process the instructions to:
• receive, from an access network node operating in the semi-static channel access mode, configuration information for configuring a period of a channel occupancy that the UE initiates in a fixed frame period (FFP), for a listen-before-talk (LBT) procedure;
• perform a clear channel assessment (CCA) in accordance with the period;
• initiate the period of the channel occupancy for the UE in a case where the CCA indicates that a communication channel is clear;
• receive, from the access network node, first downlink control information (DCI);
• and
• determine, based on the first DCI, whether to cancel an uplink transmission scheduled by the access network node within a subsequent FFP of the channel occupancy initiated by the UE.

An access network node operating in a semi-static channel access mode, the access network node comprising:

• a memory storing instructions;
• and
• at least one processor configured to process the instructions to:
• transmit, to a user equipment (UE) operating in the semi-static channel access mode, configuration information for configuring a period of a channel occupancy that the UE initiates in a fixed frame period (FFP), for a listen-before-talk (LBT) procedure;
• wherein the period is used by the UE for performing a clear channel assessment (CCA);
• and
• transmit, to the UE, first downlink control information (DCI) and initiating the period of the channel occupancy for the UE in a case where the CCA indicates that a communication channel is clear,
• wherein whether to cancel an uplink transmission scheduled by the access network node within a subsequent FFP of the channel occupancy initiated by the UE is determined based on the DCI.
