Abstract
A portable countermeasure system for disabling or disrupting short-range wireless communication networks, comprising a signal generator for generating a first signal and a second signal, each in the Wi-Fi frequency bands, a signal multiplexer for multiplexing the first and second signals outputted from the signal generator into a combined signal, and a circularly polarised antenna for transmitting the combined signal.
Claims16
A portable countermeasure system (PCS) comprising:
- a signal generator for generating a first signal and a second signal each in the Wi-Fi frequency bands;
- a signal multiplexer for multiplexing the first and second signals outputted from the signal generator into a combined signal;
- a circularly polarised antenna for transmitting the combined signal, the antenna comprising:
- a peak directivity of at least 8 dBm;
- an Root Mean Square (RMS) directivity over an 180 degree field of at least 35 dBm;
- and
- a half-power beam width of less than 90 degrees in the Wi-fi frequency bands;
- and,
- an activation mechanism for activating the signal generator.
