Abstract
A terminal according to an embodiment disclosed herein can determine the position of a paging early indication-monitoring occasion (PEI-MO) and perform monitoring of the PEI on the basis that the terminal itself is a second type of terminal supporting a smaller maximum bandwidth than a first type of terminal, and that setting information of the paging early indication (PEI) includes first setting information common to the first type of terminal and the second type of terminal.
Claims15
A method of receiving a signal by a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system, the method comprising:
- receiving configuration information regarding a paging early indication (PEI) for early indicating whether monitoring of paging downlink control information (DCI) on a paging occasion (PO) is required;
- monitoring the PEI based on the configuration information regarding the PEI;
- and
- monitoring the paging DCI on at least one PO associated with the PEI based on detection of the PEI,
- wherein based on i) that the UE is a second type UE supporting a smaller maximum bandwidth than a first type UE and ii) that the configuration information regarding the PEI includes first configuration information which is common to the first type UE and the second type UE, the UE determines a location of a PEI-monitoring occasion (PEI-MO) for monitoring the PEI, and
- wherein in determining the location of the PEI-MO, the UE:
- identifies a location of a first PO for the first type UE based on a second PO for the second type UE;
- and
- determines the location of the PEI-MO by applying a first offset value obtained from the first configuration information to the identified location of the first PO.
A device for wireless communication, the device comprising:
- a memory configured to store instructions;
- and
- a processor configured to perform operations by executing the instructions,
- wherein the operations of the processor comprise:
- receiving configuration information regarding a paging early indication (PEI) for early indicating whether monitoring of paging downlink control information (DCI) on a paging occasion (PO) is required;
- monitoring the PEI based on the configuration information regarding the PEI;
- and
- monitoring the paging DCI on at least one PO associated with the PEI based on detection of the PEI,
- wherein based on i) that the device is a second type device supporting a smaller maximum bandwidth than a first type device and ii) that the configuration information regarding the PEI includes first configuration information common to the first type device and the second type device, the processor is configured to determine a location of a PEI-monitoring occasion (PEI-MO) for monitoring the PEI, and
- wherein in determining the location of the PEI-MO, the processor is configured to:
- identify a location of a first PO for the first type device based on a second PO for the second type device;
- and
- determine the location of the PEI-MO by applying a first offset value obtained from the first configuration information to the identified location of the first PO.
A method of transmitting a signal by a base station (BS) in a wireless communication system, the method comprising:
- transmitting configuration information regarding a paging early indication (PEI) for early indicating whether monitoring of paging downlink control information (DCI) on a paging occasion (PO) is required;
- transmitting the PEI to a user equipment (UE) based on the configuration information regarding the PEI;
- and
- transmitting the paging DCI on at least one PO associated with the PEI,
- wherein based on i) that the UE is a second type UE supporting a smaller maximum bandwidth than a first type UE and ii) that the configuration information regarding the PEI includes first configuration information which is common to the first type UE and the second type UE, the BS determines a location of a PEI-monitoring occasion (PEI-MO) for transmitting the PEI, and
- wherein the determined location of the PEI-MO is obtained by applying a first offset value indicated by the first configuration information to a location of a first PO for the first type UE identified based on a second PO for the second type UE.
A base station (BS) for wireless communication system, the BS comprising:
- a memory storing instructions;
- and
- a processor configured to perform operations by executing the instructions,
- wherein the operations of the processor comprise:
- transmitting configuration information regarding a paging early indication (PEI) for early indicating whether monitoring of paging downlink control information (DCI) on a paging occasion (PO) is required;
- transmitting the PEI to a user equipment (UE) based on the configuration information regarding the PEI;
- and
- transmitting the paging DCI on at least one PO associated with the PEI,
- wherein based on i) that the UE is a second type UE supporting a smaller maximum bandwidth than a first type UE and ii) that the configuration information regarding the PEI includes first configuration information which is common to the first type UE and the second type UE, the processor is configured to determine a location of a PEI-monitoring occasion (PEI-MO) for transmitting the PEI, and
- wherein the determined location of the PEI-MO is obtained by applying a first offset value indicated by the first configuration information to a location of a first PO for the first type UE identified based on a second PO for the second type UE.
