• in an information processing system that includes a payment processing unit:
• performing data communication with an information processing terminal;
• executing, based on the data communication, a payment process with the information processing terminal, wherein
• the payment processing unit is at a distance from a plurality of ranging zones,
• the plurality of ranging zones are from a first area to a second area,
• the first area is wider than the second area,
• the plurality of ranging zones includes a free zone, first ranging zone, a second ranging zone, and a third ranging zone,
• the first ranging zone is inside a boundary of the free zone,
• in the free zone, a first positioning process for the information processing terminal is not performed,
• the first ranging zone corresponds to the first area,
• the second ranging zone is inside the first ranging zone,
• the third ranging zone is in a vicinity of the payment processing unit,
• the third ranging zone is inside the second ranging zone,
• the third ranging zone corresponds to the second area, and
• in the first ranging zone, the information processing terminal performs a second positioning process for the information processing terminal;
• in the first ranging zone, measuring a position of the information processing terminal based on a first positioning method;
• switching the first positioning method to a second positioning method;
• in the second ranging zone and in the third ranging zone, measuring the position of the information processing terminal based on the second positioning method;
• and
• in the second ranging zone, performing, based on the measured position of the information processing terminal in the second ranging zone, a third positioning process for the information processing terminal, wherein
• in a case where entry of the information processing terminal is detected in the third ranging zone, the data communication by the payment processing unit is performed and the payment process with the information processing terminal is executed.

An information processing terminal, comprising:

• an application execution unit that includes:
• a payment application configured to:
• perform data communication with an information processing system;
• and
• execute, based on the data communication, a payment process with the information processing system, wherein
• the information processing system includes a payment processing unit,
• the payment processing unit is at a distance from a plurality of ranging zones,
• the plurality of ranging zones are from a first area to a second area,
• the first area is wider than the second area,
• the plurality of ranging zones includes a free zone, first ranging zone, a second ranging zone, and a third ranging zone,
• the first ranging zone is inside a boundary of the free zone,
• in the free zone, a first positioning process for the information processing terminal is not performed,
• the first ranging zone corresponds to the first area,
• the second ranging zone is inside the first ranging zone,
• the third ranging zone is in a vicinity of the payment processing unit,
• the third ranging zone is inside the second ranging zone,
• the third ranging zone corresponds to the second area, and
• in the first ranging zone, the information processing terminal is configured to perform a second positioning process for the information processing terminal;
• and
• a positioning application configured to:
• in the first ranging zone, measure a position of the information processing terminal based on a first positioning method;
• switch the first positioning method to a second positioning method;
• in the second ranging zone and in the third ranging zone, measure the position of the information processing terminal based on the second positioning method;
• in the second ranging zone, perform, based on the measured position of the information processing terminal in the second ranging zone, a third positioning process for the information processing terminal;
• and
• detect, after the third positioning process for the information processing terminal, entry of the information processing terminal in the third ranging zone, wherein
• in the third ranging zone, the data communication by the payment application is performed and the payment process with the information processing system is executed.

An information processing method, comprising:

• in an information processing terminal:
• performing data communication with an information processing system;
• and
• executing, based on the data communication, a payment process with the information processing system, wherein
• the information processing system includes a payment processing unit,
• the payment processing unit is at a distance from a plurality of ranging zones,
• the plurality of ranging zones are from a first area to a second area,
• the first area is wider than the second area,
• the plurality of ranging zones includes a free zone, first ranging zone, a second ranging zone, and a third ranging zone,
• the first ranging zone is inside a boundary of the free zone,
• in the free zone, a first positioning process for the information processing terminal is not performed,
• the first ranging zone corresponds to the first area,
• the second ranging zone is inside the first ranging zone,
• the third ranging zone is in a vicinity of the payment processing unit,
• the third ranging zone is inside the second ranging zone,
• the third ranging zone corresponds to the second area, and
• in the first ranging zone, performing, by the information processing terminal, a second positioning process for the information processing terminal;
• in the first ranging zone, measuring a position of the information processing terminal based on a first positioning method;
• switching the first positioning method to a second positioning method;
• in the second ranging zone and in the third ranging zone, measuring the position of the information processing terminal based on the second positioning method;
• in the second ranging zone, performing, based on the measured position of the information processing terminal in the second ranging zone, a third positioning process for the information processing terminal;
• and
• detecting, after the third positioning process for the information processing terminal, entry of the information processing terminal in the third ranging zone, wherein
• in the third ranging zone, the data communication is performed and the payment process with the information processing system is executed.
