Abstract
Electronic devices and methods according to various embodiments of the disclosure may comprise or utilize a display of which at least a portion is flexible and a display area exposed to the outside, which is changeable, an antenna module, a communication module for performing wireless local area network (LAN) communication with an access point by using the antenna module, and a processor. Various other embodiments are possible.
Claims20
An electronic device comprising:
- a first housing;
- a second housing;
- a display comprising at least a portion that is flexible and a display area exposed to an outside that is changeable;
- an antenna;
- a communication circuit configured to perform wireless local area network (LAN) communication with an access point by using the antenna;
- memory, comprising one or more storage media, storing instructions;
- and
- one or more processors communicatively coupled to the display, the antenna, the communication circuit, and the memory,
- wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors individually or collectively, cause the electronic device to:
- detect a change of the display area of the display corresponding to a change in position of the second housing relative to the first housing;
- and
- based on the detecting of the change of the display area, scan at least one adjacent access point by using the communication circuit and the antenna.
A method performed by an electronic device for improving a communication quality in which the electronic device includes a first housing, a second housing, a communication circuit, an antenna, and a display of which at least a portion is flexible and a display area exposed to an outside is changeable, the method comprising:
- detecting, by the electronic device, a change of the display area of the display corresponding to a change in position of the second housing relative to the first housing;
- and
- based on the detecting of the change of the display area, scanning, by the electronic device, at least one adjacent access point by using the communication circuit and the antenna.
