Enhanced controller synchronization verification

A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing instructions that, when executed by a computer, cause the computer to perform operations comprising:

• receiving an image;
• receiving an indication that the image was captured by a particular camera that uses a filter for a particular color of light, from among multiple synchronized cameras that each use filters for different colors of light and that each capture images of a scene that is artificially illuminated by the different colors of light at different times;
• in response to receiving the indication that the image was captured by the particular camera that uses the filter for the particular color of light, determining that the image does not exhibit one or more visual characteristics that are specific to the particular color of light;
• and
• based on determining that the image does not exhibit the one or more visual characteristics that are specific to the particular color of light, transmitting an indication to (i) address an out-of-synchronization condition of the multiple cameras or (ii) prevent the image from being further processed as an image that was captured using a filter for the particular color of light.

A system comprising:

• one or more processors;
• and
• one or more non-transitory computer-readable media storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to perform operations comprising:
• receiving an image;
• receiving an indication that the image was captured by a particular camera that uses a filter for a particular color of light, from among multiple synchronized cameras that each use filters for different colors of light and that each capture images of a scene that is artificially illuminated by the different colors of light at different times;
• in response to receiving the indication that the image was captured by the particular camera that uses the filter for the particular color of light, determining that the image does not exhibit one or more visual characteristics that are specific to the particular color of light;
• and
• based on determining that the image does not exhibit the one or more visual characteristics that are specific to the particular color of light, transmitting an indication to (i) address an out-of-synchronization condition of the multiple cameras or (ii) prevent the image from being further processed as an image that was captured using a filter for the particular color of light.
