Providing information associated with a media item

A tangible, non-transitory computer-readable medium having stored thereon instructions executable by one or more processors to cause a computing system to perform functions comprising:

• receiving first data indicating a media item being played back by a playback device of a media playback system, wherein the first data is received, based on a condition of the media playback system, from one or more of:
• (i) the playback device, (ii) one or more other playback devices of the media playback system, or (iii) a control device of the media playback system;
• based on the first data indicating the media item, obtaining, from one or more media information sources, second data indicating information associated with the media item;
• and
• based on the second data:
• causing the control device to display first information corresponding to the media item while the media playback system is playing back the media item;
• and
• causing a display device separate and distinct from the control device to display second information corresponding to the media item while the media playback system is playing back the media item.

A method to be performed by a computing system, the method comprising:

• receiving first data indicating a media item being played back by a playback device of a media playback system, wherein the first data is received, based on a condition of the media playback system, from one or more of:
• (i) the playback device, (ii) one or more other playback devices of the media playback system, or (iii) a control device of the media playback system;
• based on the first data indicating the media item, obtaining, from one or more media information sources, second data indicating information associated with the media item;
• and
• based on the second data:
• causing the control device to display first information corresponding to the media item while the media playback system is playing back the media item;
• and
• causing a display device separate and distinct from the control device to display second information corresponding to the media item while the media playback system is playing back the media item.
