Private listening system for streaming audio and video

A network device, comprising at least one processor each coupled to one or more memories and configured to perform operations comprising:

• providing, by the network device, video content, a first version of audio content corresponding to the video content, and a second version of the audio content corresponding to the video content, to a streaming media device for output, wherein the streaming media device is configured to synchronize and simultaneously output the first version of the audio content to a first audio device and the second version of the audio content to a second audio device;
• selecting a first advertisement to be output with the first version of the audio content;
• selecting a second advertisement to be output with the second version of the audio content;
• and
• simultaneously providing, by the network device, both the first advertisement to the first audio device and the second advertisement to the second audio device, in lieu of the network device providing the first advertisement and the second advertisement to the streaming media device.

A non-transitory computer-readable medium having instructions stored thereon that, when executed by at least one computing device, cause the at least one computing device to perform operations comprising:

• providing, by the at least one computing device, video content, a first version of audio content corresponding to the video content, and a second version of the audio content corresponding to the video content, to a streaming media device for output, wherein the streaming media device is configured to synchronize and simultaneously output the first version of the audio content to a first audio device and the second version of the audio content to a second audio device;
• selecting a first advertisement to be output with the first version of the audio content;
• selecting a second advertisement to be output with the second version of the audio content;
• and
• simultaneously providing, by the at least one computing device, both the first advertisement to the first audio device and the second advertisement to the second audio device, in lieu of a network device providing the first advertisement and the second advertisement to the streaming media device.
