Abstract
A method of processing video data includes using a scalability dimension information (SDI) supplemental enhancement information (SEI) message to indicate which primary layers are associated with an auxiliary layer when auxiliary information is present in a bitstream, and converting between a video media file and the bitstream based on the SDI SEI message. A corresponding video coding apparatus and non-transitory computer readable medium are also disclosed.
Claims20
A method of processing video data, comprising:
- determining, for a conversion between a video and a bitstream of the video, that a current auxiliary layer is applied to at least one associated primary layer;
- and
- performing the conversion based on the determining,
- wherein the at least one associated primary layer has a first syntax element equal to a first value, and the current auxiliary layer has the first syntax element greater than the first value,
- wherein the first syntax element is included in a scalability dimension information (SDI) supplemental enhancement information (SEI) message, and
- wherein at least one syntax element indicating at least one associated primary layer of each auxiliary layer is included in the SDI SEI message.
An apparatus for processing video data comprising a processor and a non-transitory memory with instructions thereon, wherein the instructions upon execution by the processor, cause the processor to:
- determine, for a conversion between a video and a bitstream of the video, that a current auxiliary layer is applied to at least one associated primary layer;
- and
- perform the conversion based on the determining,
- wherein the at least one associated primary layer has a first syntax element equal to a first value, and the current auxiliary layer has the first syntax element greater than the first value, and
- wherein the first syntax element is included in a scalability dimension information (SDI) supplemental enhancement information (SEI) message, and
- wherein at least one syntax element indicating at least one associated primary layer of each auxiliary layer is included in the SDI SEI message.
A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing instructions that cause a processor to:
- determine, for a conversion between a video and a bitstream of the video, that a current auxiliary layer is applied to at least one associated primary layer;
- and
- perform the conversion based on the determining,
- wherein the at least one associated primary layer has a first syntax element equal to a first value, and the current auxiliary layer has the first syntax element greater than the first value, and
- wherein the first syntax element is included in a scalability dimension information (SDI) supplemental enhancement information (SEI) message, and
- wherein at least one syntax element indicating at least one associated primary layer of each auxiliary layer is included in the SDI SEI message.
A method for storing a bitstream of a video, comprising:
- determining, that a current auxiliary layer is applied to at least one associated primary layer;
- generating the bitstream of the video based on the determining;
- and
- storing the bitstream in a non-transitory computer-readable recording medium,
- wherein the at least one associated primary layer has a first syntax element equal to a first value, and the current auxiliary layer has the first syntax element greater than the first value, and
- wherein the first syntax element is included in a scalability dimension information (SDI) supplemental enhancement information (SEI) message, and
- wherein at least one syntax element indicating at least one associated primary layer of each auxiliary layer is included in the SDI SEI message.
