Data transmission control method and apparatus

An apparatus comprising:

• a memory configured to store instructions;
• and
• a processor coupled to the memory and configured to execute the instructions to cause the apparatus to:
• obtain a first Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) data packet that comprises a destination address (DA) field and a Hop-by-Hop Options header, wherein the DA field comprises a destination address, wherein the Hop-by-Hop Options header comprises identification information, and wherein the identification information is a network-wide unique identifier identifying an interface resource object;
• determine a target interface of a first network device based on the destination address in the DA field of the first IPV6 data packet, wherein the target interface is configured to connect to a second network device, and wherein the second network device is a next-hop network device of the first network device;
• determine at least one interface resource object of the target interface based on the identification information in the Hop-by-Hop Options header of the first IPV6 data packet;
• and
• forward the first IPV6 data packet to the second network device using the at least one interface resource object.

A computer program product comprising computer-executable instructions that are stored on a non-transitory computer-readable medium and that, when executed by a processor, cause an apparatus to:

• obtain a first Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) data packet that comprises a destination address (DA) field and a Hop-by-Hop Options header, wherein the DA field comprises a destination address, wherein the Hop-by-Hop Options header comprises identification information, and wherein the identification information is a network-wide unique identifier identifying an interface resource object;
• determine a target interface of a first network device based on the destination address in the DA field of the first IPV6 data packet, wherein the target interface is configured to connect to a second network device, and wherein the second network device is a next-hop network device of the first network device;
• determine at least one interface resource object of the target interface based on the identification information in the Hop-by-Hop Options header of the first IPV6 data packet;
• and
• forward the first IPV6 data packet to the second network device using the at least one interface resource object.
