Connector assembly with bracket features

A connector assembly comprising:

• a guiding shield cage comprising partitioning plates, the partitioning plates comprising guiding rails;
• at least two receptacle modules positioned at a rear segment of an interior of the guiding shield cage;
• at least two partitioning brackets comprising a first partitioning bracket and a second partitioning bracket, the at least two partitioning brackets being arranged side by side in the guiding shield cage, each partitioning bracket of the at least two partitioning brackets and the guiding shield cage defining an upper receiving space and a lower receiving space, a rear end of each partitioning bracket of the at least two partitioning brackets being positioned in front of a front end of a corresponding receptacle module of the at least two receptacle modules;
• and
• at least two extending brackets comprising a first extending bracket and a second extending bracket arranged side by side to one another and coupled to respective rear ends of the first partitioning bracket and the second partitioning bracket, each of the at least two extending brackets comprising a first side wall with a first guiding member and a second side wall with a second guiding member, wherein the first guiding member and the second guiding member are staggered with respect to each other in an up and down direction and are formed to slidably engage with the guiding rails, each of the at least two extending brackets being capable of sliding along the guiding rails between a front position at which the at least two extending brackets are positioned in front of front ends of the at least two receptacle modules and a rear position at which the at least two extending brackets at least partially extend into the at least two receptacle modules.
