Abstract
A method, computer program product, and computing system for monitoring the diction of a patient within a hospital room; processing at least a portion of the diction to identify at least one bed-control-command to be performed on a hospital bed within the hospital room; and if at least one bed-control-command is detected, effectuating the at least one bed-control-command on the hospital bed within the hospital room.
Claims24
A computer-implemented method, executed on a computing device, comprising:
- monitoring diction of a patient within a hospital room using a virtual assistant, wherein the virtual assistant is a client electronic device including a display screen;
- processing at least a portion of the diction to identify at least one bed-control-command to be performed on a hospital bed within the hospital room;
- in response to detecting at least one bed-control-command, effectuating the at least one bed-control-command on the hospital bed within the hospital room, wherein the at least one bed-control-command includes a massager on/off bed-control-command, wherein effectuating the at least one bed-control-command includes:
- communicating the massager on/off bed-control-command from the virtual assistant to the hospital bed using an application executed on the virtual assistant to communicate with the hospital bed, and
- performing the massager on/off bed-control-command within the hospital bed in response to processing the massager on/off bed-control-command communicated by the virtual assistant;
- processing the at least a portion of the diction to identify at least one supplemental command to be performed within the hospital room, wherein the at least one supplemental command includes a prescription refill task based upon, at least in part, the detection of a refill-indicative trigger word from a list of predefined refill-indicative trigger words, wherein the list of predefined refill-indicative trigger words is generated using an artificial intelligence (AI) process that expands seed data associated with a subset of refill-indicative trigger words into a plurality of refill-indicative trigger words for populating the list of predefined refill-indicative trigger words;
- and
- in response to detecting the prescription refill task:
- authenticating the patient using a voice print associated with the patient;
- prompting the patient, using the virtual assistant, for a prescription to refill;
- determining that the prescription to refill is currently refillable;
- and
- effectuating the prescription refill task, using the virtual assistant, by communicating with a medical management system.
A computer program product residing on a non-transitory computer readable medium having a plurality of instructions stored thereon which, when executed by a processor, cause the processor to perform operations comprising:
- monitoring diction of a patient within a hospital room using a virtual assistant, wherein the virtual assistant is a client electronic device including a display screen;
- processing at least a portion of the diction to identify at least one bed-control-command to be performed on a hospital bed within the hospital room;
- in response to detecting at least one bed-control-command, effectuating the at least one bed-control-command on the hospital bed within the hospital room, wherein the at least one bed-control-command includes a massager on/off bed-control-command, wherein effectuating the at least one bed-control-command includes:
- communicating the massager on/off bed-control-command from the virtual assistant to the hospital bed using an application executed on the virtual assistant to communicate with the hospital bed, and
- performing the massager on/off bed-control-command within the hospital bed in response to processing the massager on/off bed-control-command communicated by the virtual assistant;
- processing the at least a portion of the diction to identify at least one supplemental command to be performed within the hospital room, wherein the at least one supplemental command includes a prescription refill task based upon, at least in part, the detection of a refill-indicative trigger word from a list of predefined refill-indicative trigger words, wherein the list of predefined refill-indicative trigger words is generated using an artificial intelligence (AI) process that expands seed data associated with a subset of refill-indicative trigger words into a plurality of refill-indicative trigger words for populating the list of predefined refill-indicative trigger words;
- and
- in response to detecting the prescription refill task:
- authenticating the patient using a voice print associated with the patient;
- prompting the patient, using the virtual assistant, for a prescription to refill;
- determining that the prescription to refill is currently refillable;
- and
- effectuating the prescription refill task, using the virtual assistant, by communicating with a medical management system.
A computing system including a processor and memory configured to perform operations comprising:
- monitoring diction of a patient within a hospital room using a virtual assistant, wherein the virtual assistant is a client electronic device including a display screen;
- processing at least a portion of the diction to identify at least one bed-control-command to be performed on a hospital bed within the hospital room;
- in response to detecting at least one bed-control-command, effectuating the at least one bed-control-command on the hospital bed within the hospital room, wherein the at least one bed-control-command includes a massager on/off bed-control-command, wherein effectuating the at least one bed-control-command includes:
- communicating the massager on/off bed-control-command from the virtual assistant to the hospital bed using an application executed on the virtual assistant to communicate with the hospital bed, and
- performing the massager on/off bed-control-command within the hospital bed in response to processing the massager on/off bed-control-command communicated by the virtual assistant;
- processing the at least a portion of the diction to identify at least one supplemental command to be performed within the hospital room, wherein the at least one supplemental command includes a prescription refill task based upon, at least in part, the detection of a refill-indicative trigger word from a list of predefined refill-indicative trigger words, wherein the list of predefined refill-indicative trigger words is generated using an artificial intelligence (AI) process that expands seed data associated with a subset of refill-indicative trigger words into a plurality of refill-indicative trigger words for populating the list of predefined refill-indicative trigger words;
- and
- in response to detecting the prescription refill task:
- authenticating the patient using a voice print associated with the patient;
- prompting the patient, using the virtual assistant, for a prescription to refill;
- determining that the prescription to refill is currently refillable;
- and
- effectuating the prescription refill task, using the virtual assistant, by communicating with a medical management system.
