A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium, storing executable instructions that, when executed by a processor of a handheld terminal device, cause the handheld terminal device to perform a method of controlling an object in a virtual scene, the method including:
- displaying a virtual scene in an interaction interface of the terminal device, the virtual scene comprising a virtual object and other objects, wherein the virtual object is at a first location in a virtual environment and controlled by a user of the terminal device;
- determining when a current posture of the virtual object satisfies a condition for the virtual object to tilt;
- wherein the condition comprises:
- (i) a first condition that a body part of the virtual object, required to move for tilting based on the current posture, is in a movable state;
- and
- (ii) a second condition that there is no danger to the virtual object in the virtual scene;
- controlling a posture of the virtual object to tilt to a left direction or a right direction of the virtual object from the current posture of the virtual object while the virtual object remains at the first location in the virtual environment in response to a first rotation operation of the terminal device by a first angle around a first reference axis perpendicular to the interaction interface by the user of the terminal device, further including:
- rotating the first virtual object and the other objects in the virtual scene around the first rotation reference axis by the first angle around the first reference axis perpendicular to the interaction interface;
- controlling at least a head of the virtual object to tilt to the left direction or the right direction of the virtual object by a second angle when the first angle around the first rotation reference axis exceeds a predefined threshold;
- and
- displaying the virtual scene in a viewing perspective corresponding to the tilted posture of the virtual object.
