Exclusive delivery of content within geographic areas

A method for establishing mobile-device location awareness for an application program on a mobile device via exclusive delivery of an alphanumeric identifier to the application program based on location information wirelessly transmitted by an object of interest, the method comprising:

• accessing, from a stored record of a content delivery platform, geographic reservation data including a selected geographic area of interest reserved for delivery of an alphanumeric identifier to the application program on the mobile device based on the location information wirelessly transmitted by the object of interest, the geographic reservation data comprising a geometric construct used to establish at least one perimeter as a boundary for the selected geographic area of interest, the geographic reservation data including a reservation to have the alphanumeric identifier delivered to the application program upon a determination, by at least use of the location information wirelessly transmitted by the object of interest, that the object of interest has entered and/or is within the selected geographic area of interest;
• sending, from the application program on the mobile device to the content delivery platform, a request to have the alphanumeric identifier delivered to the application program;
• and
• sending, from the content delivery platform to the application program on the mobile device, the alphanumeric identifier, in response to it being determined, by at least use of the location information wirelessly transmitted by the object of interest, that the object of interest has entered and/or is within the selected geographic area of interest,
• wherein the object of interest is separate from the mobile device.
