Systems and methods for authentication device-assisted transactions

A method of authorizing transaction requests, the method comprising:

• provisioning, by a computing system, a single use token to a customer computing device;
• receiving, by the computing system and from an authentication device, an indication that a user is in possession of the authentication device and measured biometric data;
• receiving, by the computing system and from a transaction terminal over a network, a transaction request specifying the single use token and including an identification code generated by an authentication device;
• detokenizing, by the computing system, the single use token;
• authenticating, by the computing system and based on the identification code and the single use token, the transaction request by determining that the identification code is associated with an authorized user, that an authorized financial account is associated with the single use token specified in the transaction request, and that the measured biometric data matches a stored biometric data within a predetermined degree of tolerance of deviation;
• authorizing, by the computing system and based on the transaction request being authenticated, the transaction request;
• and
• transmitting, by the computing system, a confirmation to the transaction terminal over the network.

A non-transitory computer-readable media having computer-executable instructions embodied therein that, when executed by a computing system of a transaction system, causes the transaction system to perform operations to authorize transaction requests, the operations comprising:

• provisioning a single use token to a customer computing device;
• receiving, from an authentication device, an indication that a user is in possession of the authentication device and measured biometric data;
• receiving, from a transaction terminal over a network, a transaction request specifying the single use token and including an identification code generated by an authentication device;
• detokenizing the single use token;
• authenticating, based on the identification code and the single use token, the transaction request by determining that the identification code is associated with an authorized user, that an authorized financial account is associated with the single use token specified in the transaction request, and that the measured biometric data matches a stored biometric data within a predetermined degree of tolerance of deviation;
• authorizing the transaction request based on the transaction request being authenticated;
• and
• transmitting a confirmation to the transaction terminal over the network.
