Systems and methods for managing absentee data

A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing instructions, which when executed by a computing system, cause the computing system to:

• receive, via one or more communication networks, an absence request from a first device corresponding to a first employee of the respective entity, the absence request comprising
• (i) an identifier associated with the first employee, and
• (ii) a first data set authored, at least in part, by the first employee and associated with a leave of absence for the first employee;
• responsive to receiving the absence request, evaluate the first data set to identify
• (i) a classification, in an enumerated plurality of classifications, of the leave of absence, and
• (ii) one or more supervisors directly or indirectly supervising the first employee;
• further evaluate the first data set against a predetermined threshold data set associated with the classification of the leave of absence to identify a second data set collectively satisfying the predetermined threshold data set with the first data set;
• generate an employee query configured to, at least in part, obtain the second data set;
• transmit, via the one or more communication networks, the employee query to a second device, the second device configured to store a corresponding data set for each respective employee associated one or more entities in a first subset of the plurality of entities, the plurality of entities comprising the respective entity;
• responsive to transmitting the employee query, obtain, via the one or more communication networks, a third data set comprising
• (i) some or all of the second data set, and
• (ii) at least in part, a confirmation of some or all of the first data set from the second device;
• generate, without human interference from the first employee or the one or more supervisors, an absence entry based on the absence request and the third data set;
• transmit, via the one or more communication networks, the absence entry to a third device configured to store an absence database comprising one or more absence requests for each respective employee associated a second subset of the plurality of entities comprising the respective entity;
• generate, without human interference from the first employee or the one or more supervisors, one or more instructions to display a corresponding notification, for a respective supervisor in the one or more supervisors, of each employee that directly or indirectly reports to the first supervisor having the classification that is in the enumerated plurality of classifications using the absence database;
• and
• transmit, in electronic form, to the corresponding remote device for each respective supervisor in the one or more supervisors, the one or more instructions to display a corresponding notification.

A computing system comprising:

• one or more processors;
• and
• memory coupled to the one or more processors, the memory storing one or more programs configured to be executed by the one or more processors, the one or more programs comprising one or more instructions for:
• receiving, via one or more communication networks, an absence request from a first device corresponding to a first employee of the respective entity, the absence request comprising
• (i) an identifier associated with the first employee, and
• (ii) a first data set authored, at least in part, by the first employee and associated with a leave of absence for the first employee;
• responsive to receiving the absence request, evaluating the first data set to identify
• (i) a classification, in an enumerated plurality of classifications, of the leave of absence, and
• (ii) one or more supervisors directly or indirectly supervising the first employee;
• further evaluating the first data set against a predetermined threshold data set associated with the classification of the leave of absence to identify a second data set collectively satisfying the predetermined threshold data set with the first data set;
• generating an employee query configured to, at least in part, obtain the second data set;
• transmitting, via the one or more communication networks, the employee query to a second device, the second device configured to store a corresponding data set for each respective employee associated one or more entities in a first subset of the plurality of entities, the plurality of entities comprising the respective entity;
• responsive to transmitting the employee query, obtaining, via the one or more communication networks, a third data set comprising
• (i) some or all of the second data set, and
• (ii) at least in part, a confirmation of some or all of the first data set from the second device;
• generating, without human interference from the first employee or the one or more supervisors, an absence entry based on the absence request and the third data set;
• transmitting, via the one or more communication networks, the absence entry to a third device configured to store an absence database comprising one or more absence requests for each respective employee associated a second subset of the plurality of entities comprising the respective entity;
• generating, without human interference from the first employee or the one or more supervisors, one or more instructions to display a corresponding notification, for a respective supervisor in the one or more supervisors, of each employee that directly or indirectly reports to the first supervisor having the classification that is in the enumerated plurality of classifications using the absence database;
• and
• transmitting, in electronic form, to the corresponding remote device for each respective supervisor in the one or more supervisors, the one or more instructions to display a corresponding notification.
