Abstract
An apparatus can include sampling circuitry and processing circuitry coupled to the sampling circuitry. The processing circuitry can predict a next sample of an input signal and determine a predicative portion of the next sample of the input signal. The processing circuitry can subtract the predicative portion from the input signal to determine a non-predicative portion of the input signal and provide the non-predicative portion to the sampling circuitry for sampling.
Claims17
An apparatus comprising:
- sampling circuitry;
- and
- processing circuitry coupled to the sampling circuitry, the processing circuitry configured to:
- predict a next sample of an input signal;
- determine a predicative portion of the next sample of the input signal, based on a weighted history of the input signal;
- subtract the predicative portion from the input signal to determine a non-predicative portion of the input signal;
- and
- provide the non-predicative portion to the sampling circuitry, the sampling circuitry configured to sample the non-predicative portion.
A wireless communication device comprising:
- one or more antennas;
- and
- transceiver circuitry comprising:
- sampling circuitry;
- and
- processing circuitry coupled to the sampling circuitry, the processing circuitry configured to:
- predict a next sample of an input signal;
- determine a predicative portion of the next sample of the input signal, based on a weighted history of the input signal;
- subtract the predicative portion from the input signal to determine a non-predicative portion of the input signal;
- and
- provide the non-predicative portion to the sampling circuitry, the sampling circuitry configured to sample the non-predicative portion.
A method for communicating in a wireless network, the method comprising:
- predicting a next sample of an input signal;
- determining a predicative portion of the next sample of the input signal, based on a weighted history of the input signal;
- subtracting the predicative portion from the input signal to determine a non-predicative portion of the input signal;
- and
- providing the non-predicative portion for sampling and refraining from providing the predicative portion for sampling.
