Abstract
An image forming apparatus includes a setting unit that performs setting of a system, an image formation section that forms an image according to the setting, and a processing unit that performs a process for a quarantine against a virus. The setting unit performs setting concerning security. The processing unit implements the quarantine against a virus if the setting concerning security has been changed.
Claims15
An image forming apparatus comprising:
- one or more processors that perform a setting of a system on a system setting screen;
- and
- an image former that forms an image according to the setting,
- wherein the one or more processors perform security setting on the system setting screen, including setting of effectiveness or ineffectiveness of a quarantine against a virus,
- responsive to determining that the quarantine against the virus being set as ineffective, a display for performing a setting regarding an execution of the quarantine against the virus is made ineffective, and
- the one or more processors perform the quarantine against the virus in all regions of a storage where the quarantine against the virus is implementable as part of the security setting responsive to determining that the quarantine against the virus, which is included in the security setting on the system setting screen, is changed from ineffectiveness to effectiveness.

A control method for an apparatus including an image former and one or more processors to perform a process for a quarantine against a virus, the control method comprising:
- implementing a setting of a system on a system setting screen;
- forming, by the image former, an image according to the setting of the system;
- performing security setting on the system setting screen, including setting of effectiveness or ineffectiveness of the quarantine against the virus, wherein, responsive to determining that the quarantine against the virus being set to ineffectiveness, a display for performing a setting regarding an execution of the quarantine against the virus is made ineffective;
- and
- performing the quarantine against the virus in all regions of a storage where the quarantine against the virus is implementable as part of the security setting responsive to determining that the quarantine against the virus, which is included in the security setting on the system setting screen, is changed from ineffectiveness to effectiveness.
