Abstract
Apparatuses, systems, and techniques to allocate portions of a virtual address space to allow virtual machines to share data. In at least one embodiment, at least a portion of a virtual memory address space is made accessible to multiple virtual machines and is mapped to memory addresses of different physical devices using, at least in part, a cache-coherent protocol.
Claims28
A processor comprising:
- one or more circuits to perform a first virtual machine to allocate different portions of a memory address space to second and third virtual machines, wherein:
- a first other processor is to perform a first hypervisor to cause the first other processor to perform the second virtual machine;
- a second other processor is to perform a second hypervisor to cause the second other processor to perform the third virtual machine;
- and
- the first virtual machine is to transfer data stored by the second virtual machine to the third virtual machine.
A computer-implemented method, comprising:
- performing a first virtual machine to allocate different portions of a memory address space to second and third virtual machines, wherein;
- a first other processor is to perform a first hypervisor to cause the first other processor to perform the second virtual machine;
- a second other processor is to perform a second hypervisor to cause the second other processor to perform the third virtual machine;
- and
- the first virtual machine is to transfer data stored by the second virtual machine to the third virtual machine.
A system comprising:
- one or more processors to:
- perform a first virtual machine to allocate different portions of a memory address space to second and third virtual machines, wherein:
- a first other processor is to perform a first hypervisor to cause the first other processor to perform the second virtual machine;
- a second other processor is to perform a second hypervisor to cause the second other processor to perform the third virtual machine;
- and
- the first virtual machine is to transfer data stored by the second virtual machine to the third virtual machine.
A non-transitory machine-readable medium having stored thereon a set of instructions, which if performed by one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to:
- perform a first virtual machine to allocate different portions of a memory address space to second and third virtual machines, wherein:
- a first other processor is to perform a first hypervisor to cause the first other processor to perform the second virtual machine;
- a second other processor is to perform a second hypervisor to cause the second other processor to perform the third virtual machine;
- and
- the first virtual machine is to transfer data stored by the second virtual machine to the third virtual machine.
