System and method for landing and storing vertical take-off and landing aircraft

A computing system:

• one or more processors;
• and
• one or more non-transitory computer-readable storage media comprising executable computer program code, the computer program code when executed causing the computing system to perform operations including:
• accessing aircraft data associated with a vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) aircraft, the aircraft data indicating a make and model of the VTOL aircraft and a charging state of the VTOL aircraft;
• accessing facility data associated with a VTOL aircraft landing facility, the VTOL aircraft landing facility comprising a plurality of landing pad locations and a plurality of charging stations configured for different charging requirements, wherein a respective charging station is compatible with the make and model of the VTOL aircraft;
• computing, based on the aircraft data, a landing pad location from among the plurality of landing pad locations such that the respective charging station that is compatible with the make and model of the VTOL aircraft is accessible to the VTOL aircraft;
• and
• transmitting, over a network, the landing pad location to at least one of an operator of the VTOL aircraft or a system of the VTOL aircraft to route the aircraft to the landing pad location.

One or more non-transitory computer-readable storage media comprising executable computer program code, the computer program code when executed causing one or more processors to perform operations comprising:

• accessing aircraft data associated with a vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) aircraft, the aircraft data indicating a make and model of the VTOL aircraft and a charging state of the VTOL aircraft;
• accessing facility data associated with a VTOL aircraft landing facility, the VTOL aircraft landing facility comprising a plurality of landing pad locations and a plurality of charging stations configured for different charging requirements, wherein a respective charging station is compatible with the make and model of the VTOL aircraft;
• computing, based on the aircraft data, a landing pad location from among the plurality of landing pad locations such that the respective charging station that is compatible with the make and model of the VTOL aircraft is accessible to the VTOL aircraft;
• and
• transmitting, over a network, the landing pad location to at least one of an operator of the VTOL aircraft or a system of the VTOL aircraft to route the aircraft to the landing pad location.
